Slow Flow Yoga
This is a beginning to intermediate vinyasa flow class working to connect breath with movement. Sun salutations are worked into the series to warm your muscles and strengthen the upper body. Each class will be a little different but the overall format will be similar, so you will get to experience the creativity and individual style of the instructor while trying something a little different each practice. We will build up sequences based on traditional sun salutations and move through them a few times in order to gradually open the spine through repetition as well as develop muscle memory. A great class for anyone interested in optimum health and fitness or for developing more upper body and core strength. This class is taught at 92-95 degrees and 30% humidity. This is an ideal class for intermediate students, some basic knowledge of postures is helpful. This class is also appropriate for beginners who are mindful of their abilities.
We will teach you how to do every posture in this class – no experience needed! A style of hatha yoga, in a room therapeutically heated to 100-103 degrees. This is a great all levels class and perfect for beginners! This class will give you a foundational introduction to hot yoga, and is as a class that can be practiced on a daily basis to strengthen and deepen your postures. You will practice a regular sequence of postures, coordinating breath and movement, with a focus on strengthening the cardio-vascular system. Build heat from the inside out; develop core strength, stamina and flexibility in this class by working every bone, joint, muscle, ligament, tendon and internal organ of the body. This is truly a transformational yoga class! Students are encouraged to practice at their own level. Modifications given for different levels of students.
Great class for those who enjoy a power yoga class. This is an intermediate-advanced class that provides a challenging series. This class demands more physical effort than the Slow Flow or Venus class. An intensive class designed to work and stimulate every nerve, muscle, joint and tissue of the body. Each class will be a little different but the overall format will be similar, so you will get to experience the creativity and individual style of the instructor while trying something a little different each practice. The instructor will guide the class through the flow a few times then you will have an opportunity to "flow on your own." This class is a whole body workout, which focuses on upper body strength, controlled breathing, continuous flow and will introduce and incorporate arm balances and inversions. Carefully sequenced flows, challenging for all levels but modifications will be given for all students. Accompanied by fun, upbeat music.
